Topic of the week at The Bench Salon already seems to be how we as a nation can't come to any kind of agreement.
We can't agree that all children deserve a peaceful childhood. Whether you back Israel or Palestine, can't we at least agree kids don't need violence in their lives? Apparently not.
We're so divided that a local would-be politician calling herself an independent—and working with both the blue and the red teams—is actually being called out for not choosing a side. How about just being on the side of community as a whole? We've got known liars (don't get me started) getting endorsed by parties for a non-partisan position, but we're mad at someone for wanting to get along? We're doomed.
And I can't get this Beatles song out of my head…
